An A condition
Water supply, drainage, spray arm, foam recovery, sanitize temperature or element overheat. These have published meanings and several of them you can clear yourself.

Photograph the panel
With everything still flashing. This is the whole diagnosis and it disappears the moment the machine is switched off.

Decide which family it is
Lock light flashing with the modifiers means F. Modifiers alone means A. That single distinction separates "you can probably clear this" from "this needs a technician".

Try the maker's clear sequence on an A
Press once to stop the beeping, press again to clear the code, press to resume the program. Fix the cause first — an A that is cleared without fixing anything simply comes back.

On an F1, do nothing for a night
Power off at the wall, leave the machine overnight, then run a cycle with no detergent. That is the maker's advice and it works often enough to be the first thing anybody tries.

The fastest diagnosis is the code
Before you touch anything, look at which lights are flashing. If the wash modifier lights and the lock light flash together, it is an F condition. If only the wash modifier lights flash, it is an A condition. In both cases one or more program lights will also be lit, and which ones they are is what identifies the specific code. Photograph the panel — it takes two seconds and it is worth more than anything else you can tell us.
The pattern is the code
There is no display on a DishDrawer, so the machine tells you what is wrong with the lights it has. Wash modifier lights plus the lock light is an F condition. Wash modifier lights alone is an A condition. In both cases the program lights that stay lit alongside identify which one.
Why A and F matter so differently
The A conditions are the ones the maker gives you instructions for: water supply, drainage, the spray arm, foam recovery, the sanitize temperature and an overheated element. Several of them clear with a press once the cause is dealt with. The F conditions cover the rotor, the lid motor, the heating element, the drying fan, the fill valve and the two controllers, and most of those are a technician's job — which is exactly what the maker prints.
Two of the F conditions are not a repair
F1 is flood or excess foaming, and the published remedy is power off overnight and a cycle without detergent. F2 is the rotor, and debris around it is cleared rather than replaced. Between them they account for a real share of the F codes people book visits for.

Why does it not just show a number?
Because a great deal of this line is integrated, and an integrated machine has a control strip rather than a screen. The maker chose to report through the lights it already has instead of adding a display that a cabinet panel would hide. It works perfectly well as long as nobody clears the pattern before writing it down.
Both drawers are flashing different things.
That is expected and it is useful. They are two complete machines and they can be reporting different conditions at the same time. Photograph both panels. If they started at exactly the same moment, that itself points at the communication link rather than at either drawer.
I cleared it and it came straight back.
Then the condition is real rather than a glitch, and that is worth knowing. A code that returns immediately after a clear means the machine is reporting something it can still see. Say so when you book — it converts an uncertain symptom into a definite one.
