The maker's US support site lists a laundry category with no machines in it, while it still sells laundry spare parts and stacking kits — machines in service, no machines for sale. It hums but nothing drains.
The motor is trying and something is in its way. Filter or trap first, then the hose and its run, then the standpipe, then the pump. Three of those four are free to look at and one of them is not even the appliance.
Is it worth repairing a machine this old?
Often, for a pump or a hose, and that is a straightforward yes. For a control board on a machine past fifteen years, usually not, and you get that answer with the diagnosis rather than after a week of waiting for a part that may not come. We would rather be the people who told you than the people who took the deposit.
