The same order every time, so nothing is opened and nothing is charged before you have seen the figure and said yes.

01
Prove it is the sealed system
Most cabinets that arrive at this page do not belong here. A machine that will not cool is a fan, a defrost circuit, a damper or a control far more often than it is refrigerant, and every one of those is checked and excluded before this word is used.
-
02
Establish what kind of failure it is
A compressor that will not start, a compressor that runs and does nothing, a restriction, and a leak are four different jobs with four different outlooks. They are not the same repair and they should not carry the same figure.
-
03
Check the warranty before quoting
Sealed-system components are the ones makers cover longest. This maker states its terms in a separate Service & Warranty booklet rather than in the user guide, so we ask you to find that booklet or your registration before we quote. If you are inside it, that is the answer and the visit ends there.

04
Then the arithmetic, out loud
On an integrated column this repair is worth doing and on a small freestanding machine it very often is not. You get that opinion in plain words with the figure, including when it costs us the job.

05
The work, and a real test
Recovery, repair, evacuation, charge by weight, and then the cabinet is run and measured in both compartments before the appointment ends.

Refrigerator sealed system repair cost
The highest figure on this site, quoted last and only after everything cheaper has been measured out. On some cabinets it is straightforwardly worth doing and on others it is not, and you get the arithmetic rather than a sales pitch.
- Researched market range for South Florida: sealed system $600–$1,500

Integrated columns · French door · Quad door · CoolDrawer · Series 5 · 7 · 9 · 11 · 24" · 30" · 32" · 36" Fisher & Paykel refrigerator repair in Miami
Fifty-one machines in the current line, and twenty-four of them are Integrated — built into the cabinetry behind your own door panels rather than standing in an opening. Columns that pair a refrigerator with a freezer beside it, French door and quad door machines that stand on the floor, and the CoolDrawer, a drawer that can be run as anything from a freezer to a chiller.
- A fresh-food side going warm while the freezer stays cold
- An ice maker that has slowed down or stopped
- A door that no longer sits square, or a seal that has gone warm to the touch
-
Integrated column freezers · Triple zone · Ice maker · 18" · 24" · 30" · Series 9 · Series 11 Fisher & Paykel freezer repair in Miami
Eight machines, and every one of them is an Integrated column meant to stand beside a refrigerator column behind matching cabinet fronts. Seven of the eight carry an ice maker, and one is a triple-zone machine with three independently controlled compartments. That is the whole row, and this card would rather say so than pad it.
- Ice building up on the walls or around the drawers
- A compartment drifting warm while the ice maker keeps going
- A drawer or door that no longer seals against its frost-free frame
-
Integrated wine cabinets · Column wine · Beverage centers · Dual zone · 24" · Series 9 · Series 11 Fisher & Paykel wine cooler repair in Miami
Five machines: integrated wine cabinets, a full-height column wine cabinet, and two beverage centers. They are on one page because they are one repair — the same compressor, the same door seal, the same sensors and the same electronics, in a cabinet that happens to be holding bottles rather than cans.
- A zone sitting two or three degrees off and staying there
- A cabinet that runs constantly without reaching temperature
- A door seal or a hinge on a heavy glass door
In more detail
About Fisher & Paykel refrigerator sealed system repair
What the sealed system is
The closed circuit that actually makes cold: compressor, condenser, evaporator, drier and the tubing joining them. It is called sealed because it is meant to be opened once, at the factory. Everything else in a refrigerator moves cold around; only this makes it.
Why this is the last page you should reach
Because the great majority of "it is not cooling" calls are not this. Airflow, defrost, dampers, door seals, condensers and controls account for most of them, and every one is cheaper. A diagnosis that arrives here has excluded those by measurement, and you will be shown what was measured.
The honest conversation
This is the row where we most often advise against the repair. A five-figure integrated column is one arithmetic; a fifteen-year-old freestanding cabinet is another. Exact cost is confirmed after an on-site diagnostic, and where a repair approaches the value of the appliance you get told that rather than a quote.

Questions about fisher & Paykel refrigerator sealed system repair
Is this repair worth doing?
It depends entirely on the cabinet, and that is not a dodge. On a 30-inch integrated column built into millwork that was cut for it, a sealed-system repair is straightforwardly worth doing — the alternative is an appliance and a cabinetry job. On a small freestanding machine the same repair can approach what the machine is worth, and we will tell you that before you spend anything. You get the arithmetic, not a sales pitch.
How do you know it is not something cheaper?
By excluding the cheaper things first and measuring rather than assuming. Compartment temperatures, airflow, the defrost circuit, the condenser, the fans and the controls all come before this. It is the last thing on the list because it is the most expensive thing on the list, and a shop that reaches for it early is not measuring.
Will a top-up fix it?
No, and anybody offering one is not doing you a favor. A sealed system is sealed: if it is short of refrigerant, it is because it leaked, and adding more sends the same amount out of the same hole. The leak is found and repaired, or the job is not done. It also matters legally — refrigerant handling is regulated and we are certified for it.
Can a wine cabinet have this repair?
Yes, and the arithmetic is different again. A 24-inch integrated wine cabinet holding a collection is usually worth the work; a small beverage center often is not. Same rule: you get the figure and our honest view of it before anything is opened.
